Alexandra Beguez | Guinan “Star Trek: The Next Generation”

“When the enigmatic bartender Guinan first appeared on TNG, I was immediately fascinated by her. I admired her strength and self-assuredness, and (while I didn’t have the words for it back then) I respected her for setting firm boundaries with others. She exuded regality and marched to the beat of her own drum. Her relationship with Picard and others on the crew were a highlight of the show for me. As a member of a long-lived species of listeners, she generously imparted sage wisdom and encouragement to TNG crew on countless occasions. While she wasn't a regular on the show, whenever she did appear in an episode, she immediately stole the scene, and our hearts.”
