Elle Mutlu | Carol Marcus “Star Trek”
“I’ve always thought Doctor Carol Marcus criminally underrated. In her, we see a woman unabashedly immersed in her work, and ambitious to a similar degree. Not only is her independence something I felt instantly inspired by, but her humanity as a character notwithstanding; Carol’s determination extends to the upbringing of her son, a feat she achieved singlehandedly, with continued success in her career. Although I wish we’d seen more of her, glimpses of Carol’s work on the Genesis Project and her rapport with those involved demonstrate her aptness as a leader, and to me, she always came across as very confident in such an ability. The doctor’s pride in her work is unmistakable as it is unapologetic, hand in hand with her pride in being a mother; Carol’s readiness to defend the two only makes me love her all the more, her character a testament to defying limitations and what we are all capable of if we set our minds to it.”

Elle’s Bio:
I’m Elle, a 19 year old illustration student! Since I’ve gotten into Trek, it’s influenced my art considerably. Although space is very pretty, I won’t pretend to know anything about it. I’m mostly here for the characters, especially in the case of TNG, which will forever have my heart for countless reasons. Spot the cat is at least four of them.
