Juliet Tweedie | Sylvia Tilly “Star Trek: Discovery”

“I grew up watching Star Trek, and I am a huge fan of many of the smart, cool, strong Trek women, but there is just something so refreshing about Tilly. She's the Starfleet Officer next door, the one you could go to the pub with, the friend that would always have your back. I think Tilly's brought an incredible (and much-needed) sense of humour and humanity to Discovery. She's vulnerable, she leans on her friends, she doesn't know all the answers, but she approaches everything with a positive attitude and a fierce sense of determination. Maybe it's just because I am also an optimistic ginger woman, but there is so much in her character to connect with! She's got all the hero characteristics of being smart, ambitious and brave, but there's a complexity to this kind, cool character. She's unashamedly herself - how cool is that?!”

Juliet’s Bio:
I'm Juliet! I've been painting since I was a horse-obsessed kid, but it's strangely thanks to the pandemic that I found time to practice my skills, and now I can't stop. I work with watercolour, gouache and digital drawing, I'm excited to capture character, personality and light in each piece. I'm drawn to bright and bold colours and characters, which gives me a great excuse to paint my pop culture heroes and favourite sci fi stars. When I'm not practicing portrait work, I'm thinking up daft space puns for my ever-expanding collection of Star Trek seasonal greeting cards.
