Matthew Therrien | Amanda Grayson “Star Trek”

“Amanda Grayson's life could not have been easy. As a human woman, married to a Vulcan and living on a planet vastly different to Earth, she was surrounded by a people who looked at emotion and love as something in bad taste. Yet this never caused her to surrender or lose her humanity. It was her strength, and she ensured that it was passed down and nurtured within her son, Spock. She encouraged him to feel. For me, she remains a truly inspirational (and too often neglected) character within the Star Trek universe.”
